2012 Fall Festivals last update: Mon, 01 Oct 2012 Every fall during Oktoberfest time, we run three festival weekends in a row. This year we will have a different theme each weekend. While only the middle weekend will officially be Oktoberfest at Hop Angel, we will have festbiers on tap all three weekends. Sat/Sun, 29-30 Sept 2012 Oktoberfest Sat/Sun, 06-07 Oct 2012 Harvest Festival Pumpkin Festival Saturday, 22 September 2012 Pumpkin Festival, the first of three fall festival weekends at Hop Angel, celebrates this wonderful gourd. We will have a variety of pumpkin beers, a variety of pumpkin foods, and some pumpkin fun. The tent party starts 3pm.  Pumpkin Beers - Manayunk Yunkin Punkin - Philadelphia Kenzo'Lantern - Southern Tier Pumpking - Rock Art Pumpkin Imperial Sprcue Stout - Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin - and more Pumpkin Foods - Mac and Cheese: Cavatappi pasta tossed with creamy pumpkin, sharp & mild cheddar cheese, fresh sage and walnuts - Rissotto: Pumpkin pureè infused rissotto with roasted butternut squash - Spätzle: Our house made Spätzle tossed with a pumpkin sour cream and toasted pumpkin seeds - Sautéed Trout Fillet: Pumpkin seed crusted with pumpkin butter and fresh autumn vegetables - Pumpkin Pie: Fresh house made with a dollop of whipped cream - Crème Brulee: Made with fresh roasted pumpkin Music - King Groove at 9pm & More - All ages Jack o'Lantern contest - Keg Bowling - and more! For the Jack o'Lantern contest, We plan to have pumpkins and sharpies, but everyone is also invited to bring their own pre-carved jack o'latern. Pumpkin Brunch Sunday, 23 September 2012 After a going out of your gourd on Saturday, join us for a special Pumpkin Festival Sunday Brunch, 11am to 2pm. The pumpkin beers should still be on tap and we will have pumpkin pancakes and more. Oktoberfest Saturday, 29 September 2012 Oktoberfest will be the second of three festival weekends at Hop Angel. We will have a variety of Oktoberfest beers, sausage sandwiches, and pretzels as big as your head. The tent party starts 3pm.  Festbier - Sly Fox Oktoberfest - Spaten Oktoberfest - Stoudts Oktoberfest - Yuengling Oktoberfest Oktoberfest Foods - Short Rib Chili Goulash: Braised short ribs with slow cooked root vegetables and sweet smoked paprika - Pretzel & Obazta Bavarian camembert cheese spread - Cherry Cider glazed Schweinsaxe: Slow braised pork knuckle - Ocktoberwurst meal: Bratwurst pierogies & sauerkraut Music - Huge Jackman at 9pm & More - Free sausage sandwich for anyone wearing lederhosen or a dirndl! - Keg Bowling - Sly Fox Kan Jam - and more! Oktoberfest Brunch Sunday, 30 September 2012 After channeling your inner German on Saturday, join us for a special Oktoberfest Sunday Brunch, 11am to 2pm. The festbiers should still be on tap and Chef Kevin will some Bavarian breakfast specials. Oktoberfest Brunch menu coming soon. Harvest Festival Saturday, 06 Oktober 2012 Harvest Festival will be the last of three festival weekends at Hop Angel. We will have a variety of harvest beers, harvest foods, and outdoor fun. The tent party starts 3pm.  Harvest Beers The hop harvest was late this year, so things aren't looking promising on wet-hopped beers. Maybe some will show up in time. If not, we will still have these great harvest beers.
